I felt a personnel connection between me and her, mostly because of the relationship between her as a photographer and her subjects. That makes each photograph an unforgettable experience. Annie Leibovitz is one of the most decorated female photographers of the 20th century. Born on October 2nd 1949 in Waterbury Connecticut, she started as a photographer for Rolling Stone magazine and works for Vanity Fair and Vogue. She has portrait photographs of many famous faces, from Michael Jordan to former president of the United States of America William Jefferson Clinton. Although she is famous for many of her portrait photographs, she does not consider herself to be a portrait photographer. In her opinion it is too cheap and too one sided. She enjoys taking portrait shot of people with a lot of character who can take a good pose for a vibrant photograph.
The exhibit was not as I expected. I thought I would go in the museum and spend fifteen minutes and leave but I spent over an hour and a half enjoying the exhibit. It was really impressive and inspirational. The exhibit contains personnel as well commercial work of Annie. These two bodies of work detract from one another because her personnel works are more expressive. When you look at her personnel work, you don’t just focus on the main subject. You really get into the image; you can play the scene in your head and imagine yourself being present at the time that the photograph was taken. “My Brother Philip and My father” is one of her personnel work taking in Silver Spring Maryland 1988. It is a portrait shot of her brother and her father positioned in the center with half of their body showing, they both are topless, it seems like their bodies are wet and they’re standing by a pool. The smile on their faces and their pose tells you a lot about the relationship between the two men. It lets you fill in the time of the day and the rest of the location. “Demi Moore” Los Angeles 1991 is one of her commercial work where she shot a nude photograph of movie star Demi Moore while she is pregnant. The photograph focuses more on the main subject creating a more dramatic image and reveals a lot of character.
Overall the exhibit was very motivating. “Sarajevo, fallen bicycle of teenage boy just killed by a sniper, 1994” is one photograph that really caught my attention, because personally I wouldn’t have the bravery to take a picture like that. You can see all the bloods with the bicycle all twisted lying on the floor. It is truly a very sad moment.
I was really impressed by the photographs taking during the Olympics; she really knows how to shoot a subject in motion. I would like to see more of that. The audiences for the exhibit are first of all are photographers, students majoring in graphic design, and anybody who enjoys taking pictures. I really think anybody will enjoy the exhibit from thirteen and up. A remarkable exhibit.

Picture of the week
I accompany my big sister took the hospital because she couldn’t walk on her own. It is early morning and there is a man sitting on the sidewalk next to a trashed coffee cup that’s on the floor. I am passionate about sunset because it reveals an inner beauty of the atmosphere and only comes once a day. I believe that watching the sun set over the sea is one the most beautiful sight created by God for the eyes of men. Personally sunset is a very emotional and inspiring time of the day. It is the time of the day where you look back at all your activities and get ready for a different part of the day. For many people the day begins after sunset, and for many others it is a sign to drop the shovel, put down the hammer, loosing your tie, ring the bell and call it a day. I’m interested in sunset mostly because of the beautiful variations of reds, purples, oranges and peachy colors. As a photographer it is very tempting to resist capturing at that certain time of the day.
I hope to capture the different mood created by sunset. Many places feel different at sunset. Not every location looks the same at different time of the day. I would like to capture the sun setting over the sea. To capture the city and also the park, as well different activity taking place while the sun sets.
My ten different images will all be taking at different location but same period of time. They will all reveal the faces of sunsets.
I’m considering taking shots from different angles. At the shore I will take a straight shot of the sun going down. In the park at will take shots of trees like silhouettes with the sun setting in the back. I will take shots of the light falling over the buildings or a top view of the city while the sun goes down. And for different activities, I will take shots of whatever looks interesting.

It's late afternoon, the soft light reflected from the sky looks as dead as the place itself. The cemetery looks as quiet as ever as the dead get ready to do the only thing they know how, sleeping in peace and quiet. The time of day influence the mood of the photograph. It's not too bright or too dark. It's calm and silent. The angle of the light creates a neutral perspective of the photograph. Happy holloween everyone.

the time of day from this photograph greatly influence it's mood. The dark cloud stretch out in the sky, coated the city with it's shadow. With no sunlight breaking through, the face of the city look bitter and forbidding. the sky is cloudy, it's late afternoon and the sun is setting. The mood is affected by the amount of light and the direction it's coming from. the light is squeezed in by a greater amount of shadow generating controversy. The mood isn't always exiting around time like these.

My assigned point of view was a child. The kind of content that would interest a child first of all, the things that they can relate to the most. For instance children always notice other children, secondly animals. As a child walks the street he/she always notice things around it's height and also objects from the floor. children are also interested with colorfull objects such as toys, action figures, cartoonish drawing, and also bouncy objects. To be a child is to be curious, to have freedom to wonder and also to experiment.
My assigned point of view was to look for the interest of a child and capture it. I had to stylized my images through the eye of a child. everything that is bright, clear, colorfull, with a lot of contrast, with mostly soft light, not too far away, object that reflects a good amount of light.
I chose this photograph as the best one, because it's a picture of a baby. The baby looks happy, and playfull. You can see the reflection of the buildings behind the baby, and also the size of the building compared to size of the baby is very interesting because he looks as if he is crawling over the buildings. This is a picture that I think would definitely catch a child's attention for a long time. And also as the child observe, they would create illusions, and have fun while watching.

One of the picture from Higgins portfolio that I think uses available light to transform the subject is the picture with the man juggling a child in the air with the sun setting in the background. You must be a very observant person in order to capture a picture like that. Higgins used the light comming from the sunset to convey the idea how people are happy to come home at the end of the day to their family. with the little amount of light you can't help but focus on the subject which is the man and the baby. even though the light sets a different mood than the subject, they do go well together.

In the photographer's mind, New York city streets was the excitement, the picture was taken in bright daylight during rush hour on a regular day. Nicholas Eveleigh is a great photographer. One of his work that cough my attention was the one from potfolio four, the fourteenth picture. It is a picture with a women sitting with her hand on her knee, you can see half of her breast, half of her back, half of her leg and half her right arm. I like the picture because at first you did not recognize that it was a women, it looks more like it's three layers ovelaping each other. It seems like the light is coming from the top, the picture is darker at the top and the light is reflected on her leg and the side of her back. When I look at the picture, I see Eve in the garden of Eden taking a shower in a lake. It also seems like the entrance of a cave. The best part of the picture is the light. I like the way it is centered in the picture, it occupies the whole pictures. Everywhere you look there is light.
